Joey Logano took the lead in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 on lap 290 and never relented, taking home his second win of the season and overtaking Kyle Busch for the overall 2019 Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series points lead.

Erik Jones finished second, Clint Bowyer ran third.

Logan began the race in 22nd position and spent 17 laps in second place until making a move on lap 290, passing Kyle Larson, who had led for the previous 72 laps.

Larson finished in fourth. Busch, who led the points standings entering the race, finished 27th, his first tally outside the Top 10 this season. He did lead for 21 laps and has led more laps in 2019 than all but one driver, Brad Keselowski.

Daniel Hemric (6th) and William Byron (8th) recorded their first Top-10 finishes of the season. Bryon led the race for 14 laps before Larson took the lead.

Logano’s second win ties him with Bush and Keselowski to lead the series, and Ford now leads all manufacturers with four Cup Series wins this season.

Logano also has four Top-5 finishes, five Top-10 finishes this season, and added two Stage wins in Sunday’s race to give him three for the year.
